Hair Hair Hair

I have officially moved to doing hair! No more nails!! yay! It is so much fun! I love it. We have learned deep conditioning and scalp treatments :) Its really great! I do believe this week we will learn braids haha I am excited considering I do not know how to do any cool braids. I love doing hair already and I can't freaking wait to get into it further I have a little problem tho... I am so dang short I can't see the top of the clients head even if the chair is all the way down :( I am going to have to get used to heels but dang my feet from standing all day in regular shoes! Oh the price of beauty haha

Beauty Changes Life's

We were shown a video in class last week about how beauty changes life's and it's a contest where you post a video of how beauty changes your life and you win a mentorship with a bunch of people in the intusdry and it got me thinking about how beauty really can change a life... Some of the girls at my school have shared their stories about how they were in bad relationships and or had bad life's and this school helped them realize that they are changing somebodys life everyday by helping them realize that they are beautiful on the outside as much as they are on the inside. I really hope that with me choosing this career I have the opportunity to change life's in so many ways because this is changing my life and I so glad I will Have the chance to help men and woman feel better about themselfs. *so sorry about the format I am posting this from my phone* Xoxo

One Month Down

I haven't updated for about month and I am sorry, However I wasn't aware of how busy I would actually be. Or exhausted going to school 40 hours a week takes a lot out of you, I know it doesn't seem like it would but running around all day working on clients in a hot day spa is tireing.

So far school is going good! I really do love it. Nothing super funny or crazy has happened to me yet. I am getting to know all my classmates and its interesting throwing all those woman into one small school. We are for sure learning who our friends are. Most everyone is really great but of course there is always one or two who ruin the fun.

I am on student council. YAY! That is the most exciting thing that has happened to me, I am the Nail Rep. I have to attend meetings and help with everything nail related :) I have never been super involved in school related activities so this is exciting for me. Opening new doors to the cosmotolgy world! I am still in the Nail program until July 5th and then my class moves to Hair! I'll keep you informed on how it goes!!

New Year, New Look, New Life.

Its been awhile since I've blogged! I know bad blogger but I haven't been inspired and to be honest what can't you do on pinterest now? haha SOOO new inspiration!!! I have officially signed up for cosmetology school and I start May 15th! And I decided that this blog will be the comings and goings of my life as a beauty student! :) So the blog has gotten a new look and a new theme!!! :) CAN'T WAIT to share my adventures with you!

DIY fun headband

By Guest Blogger Karli :) I Used an old pair of zebra leggings I never wear any more to help make this headband.

Cut down the seam and flatten out. then cut into strips thick and thin, however you want your headband. We got about 5 different sized strips out of these leggings. Then stretch out.

How to wear: wrap around head and twist at the top TWICE. Tuck ends in behind your ear.

ALL DONE!!!
